Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Just got back from a business trip to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We stayed at the big resort on the northern shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene. The local Indian tribe were named “Coeur d’Alene” by the French settlers. It means “Heart of an Awl” reflecting the local tribe’s sharp trading practices. The 25-mile lake is home to John Elway and Dennis Franz, among others. The highlight of my week was renting a kayak from the only local paddling outfitter, for an early morning kayak around the lake. The long picture above was stitched together from 5 seperate photos.

I’ve purchased two cars from John Elway dealerships, I should have an open invitation to his lake home!

Lake Coeur d’Alene is beautiful. You’re lucky you got stay at the big resort. The Lake Coeur d’Alene properties are simply stunning, especially the waterfront ones. Cool post/picture!
Cheers
