Greenwich VillageHere we are in 2005. I would have like to have blogged right before/after the New Years, but I’ve just been swamped with real life and just haven’t taken the luxury to blog. In fact, this is my first “before I go to work blog” because I know I won’t have time tonight.

This photo was taken with my new camera phone in New York City on New Year’s Weekend. It is of the east side of Broadway in Greenwich Village, just north of Houston Street. (The green/pink banners are Urban Outfitters). Kate and I gave each other LG VX6100 phones as our Christmas present to each other. The bigger present, of course, was the porting our numbers from Cingular to Verizon Wireless. Not to harp on this, but remember when my porting from Sprint to Cingular took 3 months??? The port this time took about 3 seconds. What a sigh of relief.

Goodbye 2004
Last year is going to be a tough year to beat, so 2005 has its work cut out for it. The greatest thing about last year was the birth of Erin and all the joy she has brought into our lives. The other “biggie” in 2004 for us was our new car. We got a 2005 Honda CR-V EX and are VERY happy with it. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say we got a REALLY good deal on it. We’ve donated our ’95 Hyundai to the Alzheimer’s Association. They are actually coming to tow it away today.

So, two fairly major events in one year for us. Good luck trying to top it 2005. I hope and pray that you bring more good than bad this year.
