Movie Club

The first rule of Movie Club is, you do NOT blog about Movie Club.
So much for that rule…
Dr. Strangelove: Or, how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.
Brandon is organizing a movie club and our first assembly is tonight. We will be inaugurating our Movie Club with Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 comedy/thriller Dr. Strangelove [IMDB], immediately followed by listening to a public radio show, Studio 360, which discusses atomic weapons during the Cold War with a segment on Dr. Strangelove, followed by heated discussion ultimately culminating into a massive fist fight… at least that’s what I’m expecting to happen.
I’m looking forward to it because it’s a night to spend with friends, good take-out dinner, all while watching one of the few true classic films. You can’t go wrong with either Kubrick films or Peter Sellers & George C. Scott as leading men… oh, and a good brawl.

PEETOR – it actually was a lot of fun. The movie was very funny and the evening went exactly as predicted… well except for the fist fight thing. That didn’t happen surprisingly.
