Easter Sunday & Big News

I guess it’s not too hard to be a proud dada when you have such a beautiful little girl. This has become an annual sitting spot for our Easter photos. It’s on the steps of a brownstone on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, in our church’s neighborhood.
This is as good a time as any to announce that I’m gonna be a dad… AGAIN! Our due date is October 6th and, needless to say, Kate and I are both very excited to have another little one. We’re not able to find out the sex of the baby until mid May.
Next Easter, Erin will have a little sibling next to her on those steps. How exciting!

Rarely can the word “exquisite” be used when describing a little toddling girl (cute or adorable are usually much more appropriate) but truly Erin is just that in this portrait. Quite exquisite.
Congratulations and felicidades on your Big News! How wonderful… Just another reason to love New York/New Jersey in the fall.

those steps are some of the luckiest in the city, just as erin and her soon-to-be sibling are some of the luckiest little ones to have parents like you and kate. congratulations, kenny. what a beautiful family you all are.

I love the internet… the very fact that the first two comments on this blog entry are both from Americans living in Mexico is just awesome to me. Rai and Alisa: Thank you both for such kind words. They mean a lot.

You’re very welcome. And yeah, the internet completely blows my mind most days. On the other days, I’m usually in line at the phone company begging them to take pity on the poor gringa (me) who needs her dsl to work NOW. Viva la familia Eicher, la Mexico & it’s monopolized tech system… and the wireless routers on Playa de Troncones!
