Autumn’s Peak
filed in Media: Photography on Oct.21, 2006
We’ve waited a full year for this day. You see, this time last year we had the home inspection of our house. We wouldn’t actually move into the house until December, but the day of the home inspection was gloriously colorful with oranges, yellows and reds. The leaves were at their peak and it just made our house, which we were so excited about buying, so much more beautiful.
So now, with the new windows and new grass, we’ve been waiting for peak to hit so that we could take some photos of our house. And boy, did peak ever hit today. Not only are the leaves on fire, but the sky is a brilliant blue and the crisp air is so refreshing.
The photos below have not been retouched… at all.
Can you tell we love the Fall?

it’s idyllic! fall is the most wonderful of seasons. it reminds me a lot of the gates display in central park a couple of years ago–something striking and beautiful and even more cherished because it’s so fleeting. i’m so glad you shared pictures! your home is perfect, and seeing it surrounded by those colors was the perfect thing for a monday morning in a place where fall doesn’t really happen. (not that i’m complaining too much, i love not having a harsh winter, either. 😉 thanks for this post! i hope to actually see you all next time i’m up in the area.

Wow! Absolutely gorgeous. I’m missing fall down here in Texas – it’s going to be 85 degrees today.
