My complete and utter lack of downtime has left my blogging well all dried up. In order to make ammends, I treat you now to some movie reviews of my recent 2005 DVD rentals, all in the ancient poetic form of Haiku.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
Burton Disappoints.
He lost track of the story.
All flash, no substance.

March of the Penguins (2005)
Antarctic Penguins.
DVD extras were great.
Birth. Death. Family.

The Weather Man (2005)
Commercials Mislead.
Not about ‘weather’ or ‘man.’
Big stars in bad film.

Walk the Line (2005)
Johnny Cash’s life.
Joaquin and Reese made magic.
This one will be owned.

King Kong (2005)
Jack Black make ape mad!
Special effects were brilliant.
Story was boring.

Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005)
Edward R. Murrow.
Black, white and RED all over.
A first class movie.

Memoirs of a Geisha (2005)
‘Crouching Tiger’ cast.
Love story in old Japan.
Beautiful movie.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
A classic fable.
Brought to life in a great way.
Hope they make the rest.
